Imagine a club which holds regular functions such as birthday parties, anniversary celebrations etc. Such events can often attract guests who are unable to climb a flight of stairs, or perhaps can but only with great difficulty. If an event is held above ground level then these people are effectively excluded due to their disability. Surely they have it hard enough as is? Why not install a lift??
